With a possible family connection to Thomas Andrews, the ďesigner or The Titanic, of course a stop at Titanic Belfast was a priority that did not disappoint. A fasinating interactive display full of history using modern visual strategies to recreate the story.
A short drive to Bangor - home of Robert Alexander Andrews- my great-grandfather, who came to Australia. Another beautiful port with many sailing boats moored, but on such a glorious afternoon so many also out on The Irish Sea.
Such a clear day that we could see across the sea to Scotland!
Friendly people, including many walking their dogs along the sea front.
We took a wander around the cemetery (no Andrews) and Trinity Presbyterian Church (no cemetery). It was just delightful walking aroynd the seawall, and later watching the sailjng boats return.
